About the project

A research lab shaped by things that did not hold up.

AUR is an independent AI market research project built in public around a disciplined question: what evidence would make a market idea worth trusting, and what evidence should make us let it go?

The origin

AUR grew out of repeated attempts beginning in 2025 to build market systems that could look promising for short periods but did not establish durable evidence. The hard part was not generating another variation. It was recognizing when a result came from a fragile choice, a favorable slice of history, an incomplete understanding of timing, or a story that had been made more convincing after the fact.

That experience changed the project. AUR moved away from endlessly tweaking bots and toward a versioned, auditable research system designed to prove itself wrong before trusting a result. The central work became the quality of the question, the integrity of the data, the timing of the test, and the honesty of the failure record.

The public purpose

Build in public is a research practice here, not a marketing claim. AUR shares the framing of the problem, useful methodology, public-safe lessons, and the boundaries around what can responsibly be said. It does not publish active signals, exact thresholds, execution details, private infrastructure details, credentials, or unvalidated predictions.

The project does not currently sell signal access, investment advice, subscriptions, or a public performance-fee product. It is an investigation, and its honest outcome may be a better understanding of where an apparent edge fails to survive.

A small set of operating values

01

Curiosity with brakes

Explore widely, but make every attractive idea face a clear route to failure.

02

Evidence over fluency

A persuasive explanation is a prompt for testing, not a substitute for testing.

03

Public usefulness

Share lessons that improve research practice without exposing sensitive work or overstating what is known.

Current stage. AUR is still in disciplined exploration. This site does not claim that the project has found a durable market edge.
